(ii) Shanshui, meaning “mountain-water”, refers to a style of *** painting that involves natural landscapes, the landscape which is an inner one, a spiritual and conceptual space. It represents the two complementary poles ($yin’ and $young’) reflecting the Daoist view of the universe.
