  • On 15th of August, 1947, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru raised the tri-colour national flag of India at Red Fort, Delhi.

  • Independence day is also celebrated at schools, and teachers explain the significance of this day to the students. The school **** take out colourful processions very early in the morning. They sing the glory of India. The procession end in the Central Park.
  • This year in 2018, India is celebrating its 72nd Independence Day to pay tribute and remember all the freedom fighters who had contributed a lot and fought for the Independence of India.
