A mass of 10 kg is at a point A on a table. It is moved to a point B. If the line joining A and B is horizontal, what is the work done on the object by the gravitational force ? Explain your answer.

The work done by the gravitational force acting on the body of mass 10 kg (i.e., F = 10 kg wt) is zero when the body moves from A to B ( = AB) as shown in fig. This is due to the reason that the force (F) and the displacement () are at right angles to each other.
