The ozone layer is present in stratosphere, one of the layers of the atmosphere. Each molecule of ozone is made up of three oxygen atoms. It is poisonous but it prevents harmful radiations from reaching the earth’* surface, where they may damage many life forms. Chlorofluorocarbon compounds (CFCs) results in the depletion of ozone layer.
