Best answer

(a) |x| + |y|

∴ |x| + |y| = 4 + 3 = 7

|x + y| = |4 + 3| = 7

(b) |x| + |y|

∴ |x| + |y| = 4 + 3 = 7

|x + y| = |4 – 3| = 1

(c) |x| + |y| ≥ |x + y|
