Difference between Tropical deciduous forests and Temperate deciduous forests.

Tropical deciduous forest

(i) Tropical deciduous are the monsoon forests found in the large part of India,northern Australia and in central America.

(ii) Trees shed their leaves in the dry season to conserve water.

(iii) Important trees found are sal, teak, neem and shisham.

(iv) Common animals found are Tigers, lions, elephants,langoors and monkeys.

Temperate deciduous forests

(i) These are found in the north eastern part of USA, China, New Zealand, Chile.

(ii) They shed their leaves in the dry seasonc.

(iii) Important trees are oak, ash, beech etc.

(iv) Common animals found are Deer, foxes, wolves. Birds like pheasants, monals are also found here.
