But speak all good you can devise of Caesar,

And say you do it by our permission;

(a) Identify the speaker.

(b) Who is being granted permission ?

(c) What is the speaker afraid of ?

(d) What opinion do you form of the speaker ?

(a) The speaker is Marcus Brutus.

(b) Mark Antony is being given permission.

(c) The speaker is afraid of Mark Antony'* oratory skills as the might convince the mob and turn them against the conspirators.

(d) Marcus Brutus was an idealist and true patriot but he was a poor judge of people and situations as well. He could not judge Antony' motive for taking Caesar' body to the pulpit.
