According to the authoritative trade figures, the States and Union territories reported more than 650 million domestic tourists in 2009. Contrasted with these figures are 5.11 foreign tourists that came to India in the same year. Hence, “Tourism, like Charity, begins at home.” We must focus on the evergrowing domestic tourism.
