The circulatory system consists of heart, arteries, veins and capillaries. The blood circulation unites all organic systems of the body as functional unit. Its functions are as follow.
(i) To transport nutrients and O2 to the body cells.
(ii) To transport CO2 from the cells to the lungs.
(iii) Appropriate distribution of blood to various parts of the body.
