In some countries power usually changes between two major parties. Several other parties exist, contest elections and win a few seats in the legislature. But only two main parties have a serious chance of winning and forming government. For example, countries like U.K., Canada, England and U.*. follow two-party system. In this type of party system the winning party forms the government and the other party forms the opposition.
