The correct option (c) √3x + y + 20 = 0

Explanation:

From equation, xcosα + ysinα = p

we get,

xcos[– (5π/6)] + ysin[– (5π/6)] = p

∴ – xcos(π/6) – ysin(π/6) = 10

∴ – x(√3/2) – (y/2) = 10

∴ √3x + y + 20 = 0
