Explanation:

Least count = [{pitch} / {Number of division on circular scale}]

∴ (LC)A = {(1 mm) / (50 division)} = 0.02 mm/division

(LC)B = {(0.5 mm) / (100 division)} = 0.005 mm/division

∴ [{(L × C)A} / {(L × C)B}] = {(0.02) / (0.005)} = 4

∴ (L × C)A = 4(L × C)B
