Assertion: In the part of the circuit shown in fig maximum power is produced across R.

Reason: Power P = (V2/R)

The correct option (a) Both assertion and reason are true and the reason is correct reclamation of the assertion.

Explanation:

P = (V2/R)

hence Pmax occurs at Rmin,

here Rmin= R.

hence Pmax is produced across R.

Hence both statements are true with reason correct explanation of assertion.
