The Veto Power is enjoyed by the big five nations that are USA, **, France, Russia and China. The Veto Power includes the affirmative vote of the five permanent members of the Security Council. Any one of the ‘five permanent members’, by casting a vote against a resolution, can prevent its being accepted even if all the other members of the council are in favor. This is also known as ‘Law of Unanimity’.
