(i) Punjab receives rainfall in winter by westerly depressions which originate in Mediterranean sea during January-February.

(ii) Nainital is a hill station located at a higher altitude. Since temperature decreases with altitude, it is cooler as compared to Agra which **** in the interior. It experiences continental type of climate.
