Compared to mammals do birds absorb more or less water in their digestive system? Why is this phenomenon an adaptation to flight?

Bird are more liquid than mammal , i.e., less water is absorbed in the avian digestive system. The more frequent elimination of in birds due to their less solid is an adaptation to flight since their body weight is kept lower.
