Context: The writer has explained how the sportsmen and anglers are so forgetful. It is because they are lost in imagination of the day. The most important thing for them is to recall the day’ sport either in playing the match or catching the fish. So, they forget ordinary things like bats, **** and fishing-rod.

Explanation : Like the sportsmen and anglers, the poets are also very forgetful in the matter of posting the letters. It is so because the posting of letters is a very ordinary thing for them. The poet’* mind is filled with other great thoughts. In the opinion of the writer this type of forgetfulness is a virtue. The posting of the letter is a very ordinary thing for great men like sportsmen, poets, politicians and other high ranked people. They pay much more importance to their own work. Thus, they make full use of their time and life. So, they have no importance of ordinary things in their minds.
