The narrator regarded Gyan Babu’* wife as a goddess. She is justified in her feelings. Mrs. Gyan Babu helped her while her own father and father-in-law refused to help her. She was so broad-minded and selfsacrificing that she herself asked Gyan Babu to resign if his principal was adamant to get the narrator turned out of his house.
