Seema’ present age is four times her son’ present age and four-seventh of her father’ present age. The average of the present ages of all three of them is 32 years. What is the difference between the Seema’ son’ present age and Seema’ father’* present age ?

(b) Let Seema’* present age be x years.

Then, Seema’ son’ present age = x/4 years

Seema’ father’ present age = 7x/4 years.

Then, x+ x/4 +7x/4= 32x3

12x = 96 × 4

x = 96 x 4/12= 32

Required difference = 7 x 32/4 - 32/ 4 = 56-8= 48 years
