A meter, whose constant is 600 revolutions per kWh, makes five revolution in 20 seconds. Calculate the load in kW.

Time taken to make 600 revolution is

= 600 × 20/5 = 2,400 second

During this time, the load consumes 1 kWh of energy.

If W is load in kW, then

W × 2400(60) × 60 = 1 or W = 1.5 kW
