An account of industrial application of biotechnology- The application of biotechnology include therapeutics diagnostics, genetically modified crops for agriculture; processed flood, bioremediation, waste treatment and energy production some are :-
(i) Vitamins:- Some vitamines like B12, B2 are products of micro-organisms.
(ii) Antibodies:- A number of antiboides are durived from the Serm entalion of organic compound.
(iii) Alcoholic beverages for the preparation of beer, wine, *** etc.
(iv) Sewage treatment:- Different type of bacteria, Fungi and algal also take part in removal of organic matter in the Sewage.
(v) Bio fertilizers:- These are nitrogen fixin microganisms which are found either in the soil or associased with the plants. The biofertilziers are likely to reduce the need of chemical fertilizers.
