Explain the four characteristics of ingroup by W.G Sumner??

In group is a group, to which an individual belongs, He feels that he belongs to a particular group and the rest are other groups or out groups. An out groups is one to which an individual does not belong or feels that he does not belongs in a particular content.

W. G. Sumner in his book ‘Folkways’ differentiates between ‘in groups and’ ‘out groups’. An in group is simply we-groups and out-groups are ‘they-groups.

The in group is one to which an individual belongs or feels that he belongs and the rest of the groups are ‘out groups.
