British Parliament passed an act in 1773 and gave the monopoly of Tea trade to the East India Company, which was resented by the colonists. Cheaper tea powder was available in the ***** market. The first shipment was forced to go back to England. When another ship loaded with tea packets arrived at Boston, the colonists disguised as Red Indians raided the ship and threw all the tea packets into the sea making it the ‘Boston Tea Party’.
