Equation of parabola y2 = 8x compare with the standard form

y2 = 4ax ∴ 4a = 8 ∴ a = 2

∴ focus = (a,0) = (2,0)

Equation of directrix : x = -a.

x = -2 or [x + 2 = 0]

Latus ** = 4a = 8.
