Here N= 32; Range = H .V.- L.V. = 59- 01 = 58

The number classes as per Sturge’* rule are:

Number of class intervals (K) = 1 + 3.22 logN = 1 + 3.22 log (32)

= 1+(3.22 × 1.5051) = 5.85 = 6

classes (Approx.) Size/width of class intervals – e = (Range/Number of class intervals) = 58/6 = 10

(approx). Ten size / width of each class is 10 and there are 6 classes.
