Dr’* of the line joining the origin to the point (2,1,1 )is (2 – 0, 1 – 0, 1 – 0)

∴ (2, 1,1)

Dr’* of the line joining (3, 5,-1) and (+4, 3,-1) is (4 – 3 ,3 – 5,1 – 1) (1, -2, 0)

1 x 2 – 2 x 1 + 1 x 0 = 0

hence a1b1 + a2b2 + a3b3 = 0

∴ lines are perpendicular.
