Industrialisation in Britain has widely changed the form of urbanisation in the modern **.Many rural migrants have been attracted to he industrial cities of Leeds and Manchester with the craze for working in mills and factories.As a result, population of these industrial cities had increased and were mostly occupied by he rural migrants.Urbanization lead to migration and overpopulation and changed the atmosphere of the newly grown industrialised cities.

The early industrial cities of Britain such as Leeds and Manchester attracted large numbers of migrants to the textile mills.

In 1851, more than three-quarters of the adults living in Manchester were migrants from rural areas.
