Let n1 = 64, n2 = 48, x̄1, = 63, x̄2 = 60, S12 -64, S22 = 144 .

H0: Mean weight of boys and ***** are same (µ1 = µ2)

H1 : Mean weight of boys is more than ***** (µ1 > µ2) {upper tail test ± K}

Under H0 the test statistic is :

At ∝ = 5% the upper tail critical value K = 1.65

∴ H0 is Accepted.

Conclusion: Mean weight of boys and ***** are same.
