Annual increasing rate R = (R1 – R2) = 5.5 – 3.5 = 2 %

Number of years = 3

By using the formula,

A = P (1 + R/100)n

So, population after two years is = 125000 (1 + 2/100)3

= 125000 (1.02)3

= 132651

∴ Population after 3 years will be 132651.
