A cuboidal water tank is 6 m long, 5 m wide and 4.5 m deep. How many litres of water can it hold ? (1 m3 = 1000 l)
Length of cuboidal water tank, l = 6 m
breadth b = 5 m
height, h =4.5 m
∴ Volume of cuboidal water tank, V= l × b × h
= 6 × 5 × 4.5
V= 135 m3 .
1 m3 = 1000 l.
135 m3 = ? = 135 × 1000
= 135000 lit.
∴ Number of litres of water tank = 1350000 litres.
