He was the pioneer in getting independence to our country. Good deeds were his life and truth his soul. As a boy, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was very regular to school. He did not trouble anyone and he never told . Once an education officer visited his school. His teacher gave the class spelling test. Five words were dictated. Gandhi wrote spelling wrong. His teacher prompted Gandhi to copy the selling rightly from the boy next to him. But Gandhi did not do so. The teacher called him a fool. Gandhi inculcated good values. Hence he is called “Mahatma’. He read the book of Shravana Kumara’ love to his parents. He also read the story of Satya Harischandra. He was greatly inspired by these books. Once Gandhi had stolen money from his father’ pocket. He repented for this act. He wanted to ask pardon from his father but was not daring enough to face his father. Hence he wrote a letter to his father regarding the theft and asked his father to forgive him. After reading the letter, his father’ eyes were filled with tears. Gandhiji left the act of stealing.
