Now a days there are many sources of receiving news and are Radio, Television, Telephone, Computer etc. In the old era the Kings used to send messages through pigeons. In India the first newspaper was published in the year 1780 and was “Bengal Gazette” (English).
“Udatmatand’ in Hindi and ‘Mangalore Samachar Patra’ in Kannada started in 1843. Now a days in various languages newspapers are publishing in thousands of numbers. Important information regarding agriculture is also provided in newspapers for the benefits of farmers. Students must cultivate the habit of reading newspapers.
