40m = 40 × 100
= 4000 cm
cloth required for one shirt = 215 cm
Number of shirt that can be stitched out of 4000 cm = 4000 ÷ 215
therefore, is shirts can be made 130 cm, i,e, 1 m 30 cm, cloth will remain.
