Two poisonous gases which can be prepared from Cl2 are :
(i) Mustard gas
(ii) Phosgene
These are prepared as follows :
(i) Cl2 is passed through boiling *, when S2Cl2 is formed. This on reaction with ethylene gives mustard gas which was used in second world war.
