Find the equation of the plane which is perpendicular to x-axis and that passes through the point (2,-1,3).
Equation of plane passing through point (2,-1,3) a(x – 2) + b(y + 1) + c(z – 3) = 0
∵ Plane is perpendicular to T-axis.
∴ b = 0, c = 0
Hence required equation of plane a(x – 2) + 0(y + 1) + 0(z – 3) = 0
⇒ a(x – 2) = 0
⇒ x – 2 = 0 (∵a ≠ 0)
