(C) With the notations given,

p + q = r means p ≤ q ≥ r

From option (A), p > q > r means p < q ≠ r, this is true.

From option (B), p < q + r means p ≠ q ≤ r, this is true.

From option (C), p × q > r means p = q < r, this is not true.

From option (D), p + q × r means p ≤ q = r, this is true.
