The "horrible idea" that occurred to Jerome a little later was that he was not sure whether he had packed his toothbrush or not. It hadhappened with him on earlier occasions also that whenever he was traveling,he alwaysforgot if he had packed his toothbrush or not.Thethought that now he would have to unpack to check the things,haunted him and made his life a misery.
